Water project 2012
Over the past few years six 40 metre deep wells have been dug in Jutpani, thanks to funding from international donors. Whilst these wells have greatly improved the living conditions of Jutpani residents, there is still insufficient water to meet the needs of the entire community. Some of the wells also dry up during the dry season.

A hydrological survey has recently been conducted in Jutpani and now a project to dig 65 meter deep well with an electrical pump is in the planning process. It is believed that by digging down an extra 25 metres, enough water will be available so that the residents of Jutpani set up irrigation systems for agriculural production for the first time.
The estimated cost of the new well is approximately $18,000 AUD. CWON Australia will be working with its international partners to ensure Jutpani gets the water it so desperatly needs.
